Job Description

An MEP Electrical Draftsman creates detailed technical drawings for electrical systems in buildings or industrial projects, which are used by engineers and contractors during construction and installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Drafting : Develop electrical layouts for systems like power distribution, lighting, and fire alarms.
• CAD Software : Use AutoCAD or other drafting tools for 2D and 3D designs.
• Codes & Standards : Ensure designs comply with electrical codes (e.g., NEC or IEC).
• Collaboration : Work with engineers and other teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Load Calculations : Assist with electrical load calculations and power distribution.
• Documentation : Keep accurate records and revisions of designs.
• Site Visits : Occasionally visit construction sites for quality assurance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge : Understanding of electrical systems and components.
• Software Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and possibly BIM.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to create precise, code-compliant designs.
