The Role

Our Tier 1 MEP Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of experienced MEP Draughtsman to join their team in Dubai to work on prestigious new mall and retail projects in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as MEP Draughtsman on major commercial and mixed use projects in the UAE, producing Reflective Ceiling Plans (RCP) and have worked in the capacity of MEP Draughtsman for a recognized MEP or Main Contracting company. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month Contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: The MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing, modifying and analyzing technical drawings of MEP projects including HVAC, Fire Protection, Lighting, Small Power, ELV systems, Plumbing and Drainage installations by using sophisticated software tools for drafting like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and Micro station. o Producing RCP Drawings o Prepare schedules for the generation of drawings in line with the requirement of MEP Projects schedules. o Review the tender drawings and assess the drafting works involved in the project and prepare the time line for completion of detailed design drawings and shop drawings. o Manage the drawings related works to meet the project targets by regularly monitoring and reporting the progress of works. o Prepare, modify and analyze Mechanical, Electrical, Plumping and Drainage Projects drawings by using software tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and Micro station o Closely coordinate with Design Manager, Estimation Engineers, Site Engineers and Project Managers for collection of inputs and review of drawings. o Coordination with Client drafting team in the case of any interface discussions or clarifications during various phases of the project. o Collaborate with the team to incorporate energy-saving measures in the drawings related works.



Requirements

MEP Draughtsman Experience:

o Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP projects drawings preparation works for Commercial projects including Malls, Retail and mixed use. o Experience in MEP / Main Contracting Companies in the UAE o Proven experience in producing Reflective Ceiling Plan drawings
