Job Title: MEP Draftsman

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Draftsman to join our contracting company in Dubai. The MEP Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for MEP systems in construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of MEP engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design:

• Develop detailed MEP drawings, layouts, and schematics based on project specifications and engineering designs.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accurate representation of MEP systems.
• Create as-built drawings and update drawings based on site changes or modifications.

Coordination:

• Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, etc.) to avoid clashes and ensure integrated project delivery.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate drafting.

Documentation:

• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and local regulations.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to the project team during construction phases.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving MEP-related issues on-site.

Quality Control:

• Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure precision and adherence to design specifications.
• Review and verify dimensions, materials, and installation procedures.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in the construction industry.

Experience working on large-scale projects in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.

Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methods.

Familiarity with local building codes and standards.

Soft Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
