Job Title: MEP Draughtsman

Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary: As an MEP Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on specifications and sketches provided by engineers and designers. You will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of various building projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Design: Prepare detailed drawings for MEP systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Review and Interpretation: Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to specifications and compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and incorporate design changes as necessary.
• Technical Documentation: Create technical documentation and construction drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Material Specifications: Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and specifications for MEP systems.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to resolve design issues and provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with advancements in MEP design and drafting technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD Software: Solid experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar CAD tools used in MEP design and drafting.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems, building codes, and construction practices.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate and detailed drawings based on complex engineering designs and specifications.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to identify and resolve design issues and challenges during the drafting process.
• Time Management: Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an MEP Draughtsman or similar role in the construction or engineering industry.
• Certification in AutoCAD or Revit MEP is a plus.
