Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented •MEP Draftsman • to join our •NOMI Interior Design • team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drafting standards and practical experience working on residential and commercial projects in Dubai. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and familiarity with Dubai's building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting & Design : Prepare detailed MEP drawings and designs for residential and commercial projects, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordination : Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate MEP plans into overall project designs, addressing any conflicts or issues proactively.
• Project Documentation : Develop and maintain accurate project documentation, including layout drawings, schematic designs, and as-built drawings.
• Standards Compliance : Ensure all designs and plans comply with Dubai's regulatory codes, local standards, and project specifications for MEP works.
• Quality Control : Review and verify drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, and update designs as per any project revisions or client requirements.
• Software Proficiency : Utilize CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) to produce precise technical drawings and enhance project coordination.
• Problem-Solving : Identify design challenges and suggest cost-effective solutions while considering project timelines, budget constraints, and safety standards.
• Site Support : Provide occasional on-site support to oversee the implementation of MEP designs and ensure adherence to drafted plans.

Qualifications

• Education : Degree in Engineering discipline.
• Experience : 5-6 years of proven experience as an MEP Draftsman in residential and commercial projects in Dubai.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant drafting software.
• Knowledge : Familiarity with Dubai's MEP codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Attention to Detail : Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
• Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot design and drafting issues efficiently.
