Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Designer specializing in swimming pool projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of MEP systems for swimming pools, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and collaborating with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality and efficient pool systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and Planning:

- Develop detailed MEP designs for swimming pool projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

- Create comprehensive blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings using CAD software.

- Perform load calculations and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

- Select appropriate equipment and materials in accordance with project specifications and budget constraints.

-Project Management:

- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall pool design.

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

- Compliance and Standards:

- Ensure all MEP designs and installations comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.

- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to implement cutting-edge solutions.

- Technical Support:

- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams duringthe installation and commissioning phases.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MEP systems during and after project completion.

- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience:

- Proven experience in designing and managing MEP systems for swimming pool projects.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.

- Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

- Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.

- Experience with sustainable design practices and energy-efficient systems.

- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
