Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Design Engineer specializing in Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems. The role involves designing, developing, and integrating these systems into building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local building codes. The MEP Engineer will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design plumbing systems (potable water, drainage, stormwater) and fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, smoke ventilation).
• Perform hydraulic calculations for system sizing and efficiency.
• Coordinate with other MEP systems (HVAC, electrical) for integration.
• Develop technical drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Specify materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and sustainability guidelines.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers.
• Provide construction support by reviewing shop drawings and ensuring system installation compliance.
• Perform quality checks and ensure designs meet project standards for handover.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of MEP design experience, focusing on Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems.
