Overview •:•
The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems for our construction project. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in MEP coordination for construction projects and possess in-depth knowledge of DEWA & Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Management: Develop and maintain project schedules for all MEP. Ensure that all MEP work is completed in alignment with the project timeline, budget, and applicable building codes and standards.
Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee all MEP subcontractors, ensuring that they meet project specifications and schedules. Act as the central point of contact between the subcontractors and the project team.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all MEP installations comply with DEWA, DCD regulations, and other local building codes. Coordinate with authorities & Clients to secure all necessary permits and approvals.
Consultant and Client: Manage all consultant requirements, attend meetings, and address queries related to MEP systems. Ensure smooth communication between consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
Progress Reporting: Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the MEP Manager and Project Manager, detailing the status of MEP works, including any issues or delays.
Technical Review: Review design drawings and specifications to ensure MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the project. Coordinate with other departments to resolve any design clashes or technical issues.
Commissioning and Testing: Supervise the testing and commissioning of all MEP systems, ensuring that the installations function correctly and efficiently. Provide support in troubleshooting any system failures or defects.
Documentation and Logs: Ensure all MEP-related documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and as-built drawings, are maintained and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP coordination for construction projects, specifically in Dubai. Familiarity with Dubai's regulations, including DEWA and DCD, is required.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of MEP systems in building construction.
Proficiency in Microsoft office & MEP-related software (AutoCAD).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with consultants.
Strong project management and multitasking skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
