MENA IP / Talent Scout (contract to pernament)3RD UNIT is an UAE-based early stage entertainment fintech company.We are building a digital ecosystem \xe2\x80\x94 a launchpad for creators and marketplace for creative digital assets \xe2\x80\x94 enabling and democratizing access to investment in early stage entertainment intellectual property (IP).We see an immense opportunity to scout, nurture, and finance nascent creative IPs \xe2\x80\x94 tailoring them from the ground up to seamlessly integrate into film, gaming, and location-based entertainment franchises right at the pre-production stage. We need the right talent to join us to build it.This is a talent scouting role. Your role will be to design an outreach pipeline and actively scout the MENA market for promising creators and / or IP properties that could be on-boarded into our launchpad. Your curiosity, imagination and genre-agnostic approach should allow you to seamlessly navigate between genres and mediums, from science fiction to fantasy, from film, gaming, live experiences to amusement park attractions. Your holistic approach, understanding of our audience, and proficiency in conventional and unconventional sources of intellectual property will be a crucial part of our curatorial lens.Role expectations:proven experience in IP scouting / creative talent scouting / arts managementability to smoothly operate between genres and mediumsa keen eye for non-conventional creators and innovative storiesstrong verbal and oral communicator proven with blogs / publications / public speakingstrong networking skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships within the creative community and entertainment industryexperience or well justified interest in web3 / blockchain based technologiesfluency in English and ArabicOffer:compensation relevant to background and experience (industry standards apply according to benchmark of VC-backed early stage companies with early hire equity compensation)remote-first, with option to sponsor employment visa and relocation stipend to the UAEaccess to high growth venture opportunity with significant talent density and ambitionApplicants are requested to provide their expected compensation ballpark.All applications are reviewed directly by the founding team.Expected start date / availability from September 2024 (negotiable).
