We are looking to hire a Medical Receptionist (who has experience in dealing with DAH licensing for staff) for one of our clients in Dubai (Al Manara Area). You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at the medical facility. You are responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing administrative tasks, and facilitating smooth operations in the reception area. To qualify for this position you MUST HAVE 1-3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE working as a Medical Receptionist.HR & Licensing Responsibilities:
Should have 2 years experience in DHA licensing for staff and for facility.
Should have knowledge of Sheryan Portal and Dataflow Group Portal
Greeting and Check-In: Welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanour. Check patients in for appointments, verify demographic and insurance information, and update patient records as needed.
Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits using electronic scheduling systems or appointment books. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling and minimize wait times.
Answer incoming calls, screen and direct them appropriately. Provide information to callers regarding clinic services, appointment availability, and general inquiries. Take messages and relay them to the appropriate staff members promptly.
Patient Registration: Register new patients by collecting personal and insurance information, entering data into electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and
Verifying insurance coverage: Ensure all necessary forms and consent documents are completed accurately.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using electronic verification systems or by contacting insurance providers directly. Inform patients of any out-of-pocket expenses, co-payments, or deductibles they may be responsible for.
Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, faxing, and scanning documents. Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for patient records, correspondence, and other administrative materials.
Patient Coordination: Coordinate patient flow in the reception area to ensure timely check-ins, minimize wait times, and maintain a comfortable environment for patients. Communicate with medical staff regarding patient arrivals, delays, and special accommodation.
Billing and Payments: Collect patient payments, process co-payments, and reconcile daily cash transactions. Provide patients with receipts, explain billing statements, and address billing inquiries to the best of your ability. Forward complex billing issues to the billing department as needed.
RequirementsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and scheduling software.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external contacts.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and basic medical office procedures preferred.
