Responsible for greeting and guiding the patients, doctors and other visitors at the laboratory in the absence of receptionist.
Responsible for providing telephonic support by greeting and by providing assistance to the patients, doctors and other callers to the laboratory in regard to the services offered by the laboratory.
Responsible for reporting the calls and the brief history of the calls to the senior managers.
Accountable for all technical aspects of the managing the reception desk of the laboratory facility that are related to the provision of analysis of samples and related service, even if some or all of the responsibilities are delegated to other qualified staff
Responsible for Blood extraction (2 technicians for paediatric patients) and receiving patient\'s samples.
Preparing and running controls for Chemistry, Haematology, Coagulation, or any other sub-department of the lab on a rotation basis and reporting the unusual or abnormal results to the Senior technician and/or clinical pathologist
Checking the quality control results of each batch of tests and keep a record of all problems and remedial action taken in co-operation with the quality system.
Processing samples and verifying the results in the Chemistry, Haematology, and Coagulation, Microbiology or any other sub-department of the laboratory on a rotation basis.
Handling urine and stool samples.
Dispensation samples for microbiology from sample reception till releasing of result.
Notifying the Senior technician and/or clinical pathologist of the samples having critical values to the and follow the protocol for immediate notification
Checking and changing sharp containers, discarding old samples (blood, urine, stool, swabs).
Cleaning and disinfecting working areas.
Encoding/ entering results in the Laboratory Information System.
Revising the technical laboratory reports analysed by them before technical validation
Dispensing and processing the samples to be sent to the referral labs.
Receiving samples from other branches of Fakih Group
Carrying out all regular instrument operation, maintenance and calibration in the laboratory.
Supervising regularly in checking of the functions of all analysers/instruments in the section and promptly inform the respective Engineers for maintenance whenever required.
Organizing the stockrooms, refilling the phlebotomy rooms as per the rotational duty.
Verify, analyse and notify the non-conformances.
Prepare and notify the change control, deviation or non-conformance report.
Filling the forms given by the Senior Manager for ISO or any other regulatory or accreditation purpose.
Responsible in giving training to other staff in the techniques and procedures and teach the relevance of normal and abnormal results.
Participating in the \'Continuous Medical Education\' (CME) program for the laboratory technologists
Direct, supervise, train staff to carry out analytical work and evaluate work activities of technical personnel.
Revising the policies and procedures, and protocols for tests carried out in the laboratory according to prescribed format for all the relevant system laid down by BIH.
Supervising the daily record of temperature of freezers, refrigerators in the laboratory and delegate the same to General technologists.
Following the activities, schedules and functions of laboratory technicians.
Responsible to behave and interact with the other laboratory staff without affecting the individual dignity and maintaining professionalism.
Organise and get approval for the duty list preparation and the leaves.

Qualifications:
BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent qualification.
