Medical Assistant
Job Description
#### :
• Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and procedures.
• Take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and maintain records.
• Conduct routine lab tests, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Manage patient flow, scheduling, and communication.
• Process lab results, reports, and medical documents.
• Provide patient education and instruction.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures and biopsies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Job Requirements:
• Post-secondary medical assisting certificate or diploma.
• 1-2 years of medical assisting experience (clinical or outpatient setting).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management software.
• Continuing education and professional development commitment.
