Job Summary.
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electromechanical systems and automated processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering principles, ensuring the seamless operation of complex systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical engineering, along with proficiency in programming and control systems.
Responsibilities:
• System Design and Development: Design, develop, and optimize mechatronic systems by integrating mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering principles.
• Electromechanical Integration: Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate components and subsystems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Control System Development: Develop and implement control algorithms for motion control, automation, and robotics systems.
• Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes and conduct testing to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize designs.
• Programming and Software Development: Write code for microcontrollers, PLCs, and other embedded systems to control and monitor mechatronic systems.
• Documentation: Prepare technical documentation including specifications, design documents, and test reports.
• Project Management: Manage projects from concept to completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization and innovation in mechatronic systems and processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and technicians to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in mechatronics engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.
• Experience with CAD software for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and electrical design (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
• Knowledge of control systems theory and experience with control system design and implementation.
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motors, and other electromechanical components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with robotics systems, automation, or autonomous vehicles.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application to mechatronic systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechatronics engineering.
• Experience with simulation software such as Simulink, ANSYS, or LabVIEW.
• Certification in relevant areas such as Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD).
