Job Description

Maintenance and Repair:

Conduct routine preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, valves, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.

Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on mechanical failures to ensure minimal production downtime.

Use appropriate tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.

Inspection and Testing:

Inspect mechanical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.

Test and calibrate equipment to ensure it is functioning within specified parameters.

Record and report inspection and testing results to supervisors and relevant departments.

Installation and Commissioning:

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and systems.

Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Prepare detailed reports on mechanical failures and the actions taken to resolve them.

Update maintenance logs and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Participate in safety tool box meeting/ HSE Induction.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.

Requirements

Mandatory - 2yrs min. Experience in Steel Plant.

Communicative in English is a must.

Education- Mechanical Diploma.

Rotary Equipment Experience is mandatory - Specially in Valves/ Compressors/ Hot & Cold rolling Mills.

Should be aware of Steel plant Safety procedures as per standards and risk associated with Steel Plants.
