: Plans, supervises and controls mechanical maintenance activities at USGIF Utilities & Gas Injection platforms. Ensures safe & efficient maintenance whilst meeting the complexes power requirements, HSE & integrity KPIs targets. Maintenance activities includes repairs, installation and commissioning of wide range of mechanical, rotating, static machinery & assists/ supervises major overhaul works, installation of new mechanical, rotating machinery & static equipment

• Plans and controls the equipment maintenance of the Gas Plants and accommodation platforms in line with approved procedures, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Reviews/ studies performance of the equipment reliability and availability of the accommodation, workshop and gas injection plants, highlights problem areas/ short comings & recommends to supervisor to take appropriate corrective measures to enhance/ promote performance, including modification/ fabrication work.
• Recommends necessary repairs/ modifications, methods of improvement & maintenance scheduling as required. Exhaust all possible options to accomplish cost effective maintenance activities.
• Evaluates technically, engineering packages/ proposals initiated by DED & Technical Support Divisions engineers including, surveying the plant highlighting discrepancies/ anomalies and recommending appropriate alternatives supported with necessary engineering drawings.
• Coordinates activities and planning for isolating the plant and issuing of necessary hot/ cold works permits to ensure that the Companys operations are not interrupted in anyway.
• Monitors and evaluates the reliability of rotating machinery and develops performance measurement tools. Ensures appropriate implementations of the developed performance measurement tools.
• Supervises and follows up preventive/ breakdown maintenance works of all mechanical equipment/ facilities including safety systems, rotating machinery, turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, vessels structure and plant caisson legs, to ensures safe/ smooth/ efficient operations.
• Supervises maintenance/ repair works carried out by contractors on the USGIF to ensures compliance with specifications, code of practices and scope of work determined, recommends acceptance of completion. Supervises the major overhauls, repairs and calibrations for USGIF pressure safety valves.
• Ensures that implementations of all modification, maintenance and fabrication works are carried out on the Production plant areas in adherence to the Companys Standards and approved specifications.

• Supervises and participates when necessary, in commissioning of new projects in liaison with project team and contractors satisfactory completion of work.
• Ensures adherence of all personnel & contractors under his supervision to the Companys safety standards, regulations & procedures in all activities carried out on USGIF platforms.
• Analyses plants performance and maintenance costs statistics and recommends improvement of Maintenance Strategies and spare parts stock utilizations.
• Participates in maintenance planning by reviewing/ reporting anticipated future requirements of overhauls, maintenance, repairs and spare parts, changing frequency of inspection according to work requirements and updating works identification system of routine maintenance and regular checks to rectify defects.
• Ensures efficient monitoring/ checking of plant and equipment performance, inspects/ investigates the abnormalities & recommends appropriate actions and participates in commissioning of new installations in conjunction with the relevant Project Team Leaders.
• Accomplish the outstanding maintenance & inspection work orders, close follow up of newly generated PM and due inspection equipment and updates the work orders and equipment history regularly through CMMS (MAXIMO) to maintain minimum level of work orders backlog.
• Assists and provides UAE nationals/ CAMS graduates with the necessary training and knowledge transfer. Prepares and plans the necessary training and assessment for his team to ensure their competency level to meet company standards.
• Ensures availability of minimum stock of critical spares by identifying the requirement, raises VAPs, follows up creation of CIDs, raises MRs/ PRs, provides RFQs reviews, technical clarifications and evaluates the technical bids.
• Prepares estimated budget schemes covering operating budget and budget requests for the following year. Ensures all remedial actions for NMI/ Internal & External audits/ under his responsibility are prioritized and cleared in a reasonable time.
• Ensures adherence of subordinates and contracted works force to companys HSE policy, standards and procedures, ensures safety equipment under custody are in proper operating conditions, takes charge of fire-fighting search and rescue teams in emergency and simulated exercises.
• Ensures strict compliance and adherence to waste management system and ISO 14001 requirements and recommendations related to own activities.
• Conducts regular STOP audits, Monthly Group safety meetings and tool box meetings on daily basis.
• Works in line with HSE policy and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
