Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to manage and oversee the mechanical installation, maintenance, and testing activities for ongoing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the mechanical team on-site, ensuring that work is carried out according to plans, specifications, safety standards, and within established timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and leadership experience in mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise mechanical installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities across various construction projects.
• Manage mechanical site teams, including subcontractors and technicians, ensuring work is completed according to quality standards, schedules, and client specifications.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation and adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards during mechanical works.
• Provide technical guidance to staff and contractors, troubleshooting issues as they arise and offering solutions to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
• Monitor and report on the progress of mechanical works, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain records of work completed, including maintenance logs, equipment inspections, and performance reports.
• Oversee the procurement and management of mechanical materials and equipment, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and within budget.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other departments to ensure effective project delivery and coordination.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety standards, and compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems are conducted effectively, and any issues are addressed promptly.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior mechanical staff and technicians to develop their skills and ensure high standards of workmanship.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar role in mechanical construction, maintenance, or installation.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, etc.), installation techniques, and commissioning processes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA) and industry best practices.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate on-site teams effectively.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Certification in health and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in an engineering consultancy or on large-scale commercial/industrial projects.
