We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical QC Engineer to oversee and ensure the quality and integrity of mechanical systems in our infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, a keen eye for detail, and experience in quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality Assurance:
• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for mechanical components and systems.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure they meet project quality standards.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection and testing records, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Review and validate test results and inspection reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Compile and submit regular quality reports to the project management team.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are understood and met.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and laboratories for testing and certification.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss quality-related issues and provide recommendations.
• Problem Resolution:
• Identify and investigate quality issues, defects, or deviations from standards.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality concerns.
• Follow up on quality issues to ensure timely resolution and documentation.
• Training and Development:
• Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and quality control methods.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in quality control software and tools.
Certifications (optional):
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
