Job Description

Job Title: QC Mechanical Inspector Key Responsibilities: o Conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical components, systems, and installations in accordance with project plans, industry standards, and classification society requirements. o Verify compliance with specifications and quality standards for mechanical components, including engines, pumps, HVAC systems, piping, and other critical ship systems. o Monitor and assess the quality of installations and mechanical assemblies, identifying any deviations or non-conformances. o Perform detailed inspections during each stage of the shipbuilding process, from fabrication through final assembly. o Document and report findings, ensuring that all non-compliance issues are communicated effectively to production and quality teams. o Collaborate with production, engineering teams to implement corrective actions and ensure quality control measures are met. o Maintain records of inspection results and prepare reports summarizing inspection findings and quality assurance metrics. o Assist in developing inspection procedures and quality standards for shipbuilding mechanical systems. o Support sea trials and other testing phases to confirm the integrity and functionality of mechanical systems. Qualifications: o Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control, specifically in shipbuilding or related environment. o Familiarity with marine classification society standards (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register). o Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems used in shipbuilding. o Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. o Proficient in using inspection and testing tools and equipment. o Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment
