The Mechanical Engineering Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in mechanical engineering principles, with a strong focus on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems and welding techniques. The instructor will engage students through innovative teaching methods, practical demonstrations, and industry-relevant projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Course Delivery:
• Prepare and deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical demonstrations in mechanical engineering, HVAC, and welding.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
Student Engagement:
• Foster an interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Provide mentorship and academic support to students, including guidance on projects and career paths.
Curriculum Development:
• Collaborate with department faculty to enhance curriculum content, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and technological advancements in mechanical engineering, HVAC, and welding.
Assessment and Evaluation:
• Create and administer assessments to evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback on student performance and maintain accurate records of grades.
Industry Collaboration:
• Establish connections with local industry partners to facilitate guest lectures, internships, and hands-on projects.
• Stay current with developments in HVAC and welding technologies to inform teaching practices.
Professional Development:
• Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
• Engage in research or industry projects related to mechanical engineering, HVAC, or welding.
Qualifications:
Education:
• A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. A Bachelor's degree with significant industry experience may be considered.
Experience:
• Proven teaching experience in mechanical engineering or related fields, with specific knowledge of HVAC systems and welding techniques.
Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively use technology in teaching.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in mechanical engineering, HVAC, and welding.
• Certification in HVAC or welding is a plus.
Working Conditions:
• Ability to work in a classroom and laboratory environment.
• Evening or weekend hours may be required for workshops or special events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
