The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, analysis, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical systems within industrial environments. This position will involve working with critical mechanical equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rotating and static equipment, and supporting ongoing plant optimisation efforts.Key Responsibilities:Rotating Equipment Design & Maintenance:
Oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of rotating machinery including pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors. Ensure that equipment is operating optimally and efficiently.Static Equipment Design & Analysis:
Manage the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of static equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems. Ensure all systems comply with industry standards and regulations.Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Monitor the performance of rotating and static equipment, identifying potential issues and ensuring they are addressed proactively. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime.System Optimization:
Conduct performance analysis to identify opportunities for optimization in rotating and static equipment, including improving energy efficiency, increasing reliability, and reducing operational costs.Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for rotating and static equipment. Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to identify signs of wear or failure before they occur.Root Cause Analysis:
Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures and equipment malfunctions. Implement corrective actions and lessons learned to avoid future issues.Design & Documentation:
Prepare and review technical documentation for rotating and static equipment, including specifications, drawings, and manuals. Ensure that designs meet operational requirements and comply with all relevant codes and standards.Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments of rotating and static equipment to ensure a safe working environment.Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and coordination of mechanical systems within the plant.Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in mechanical engineering. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of rotating and static equipment.Qualifications & Requirements:Education:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Masterxe2x80x99s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE license) are a plus.Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on rotating and static equipment in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, or manufacturing.Technical Skills:Expertise in the design, analysis, and maintenance of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines).Strong understanding of static equipment (e.g., heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks).Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, CAE, and MS Office Suite.Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems effectively.Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders.Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail, ensuring that all mechanical systems are designed and operated to the highest standards of quality and safety.Language Proficiency:
Proficiency in English is required.
