Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer - MEP will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems within MEP projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and other mechanical components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and capable of delivering high-quality designs and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems for MEP projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
• Perform calculations and simulations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
• Prepare cost estimates and timelines for mechanical systems installations.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Supervise and coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Conduct performance tests and evaluations of installed systems to verify functionality and compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and MEP systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on MEP projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Project management experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
