Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems within our real estate development projects. You will collaborate with other engineering professionals, architects, and contractors to ensure that all mechanical systems meet design specifications, performance standards, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will ensure operational efficiency and sustainability within our buildings, from residential units to commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and Planning :
• Design mechanical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems for new buildings or renovation projects.
• Review and analyze building plans and blueprints to ensure mechanical systems integrate seamlessly with the overall architecture.
• Collaborate with architects and civil engineers to ensure all mechanical aspects comply with the building code and other local regulations.
• Installation and Coordination :
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet all specifications and safety standards.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure necessary materials and equipment for the mechanical systems.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring all mechanical work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting :
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing effective solutions to ensure uninterrupted system performance.
• Oversee the maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems in residential and commercial properties.
• Energy Efficiency and Sustainability :
• Implement energy-efficient mechanical solutions to reduce operational costs and promote sustainability in all building projects.
• Evaluate the performance of systems and recommend improvements to enhance energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
• Compliance and Reporting :
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with Dubai's local regulations and industry standards, including fire and safety codes.
• Prepare technical reports, system performance evaluations, and project progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaboration :
• Work closely with other engineering departments (electrical, civil, structural) to ensure integrated systems design and project execution.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and contractors.

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Education :
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience :
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably within the real estate development or facilities management sector.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems in both residential and commercial buildings.
• Experience in mechanical system design and implementation for large-scale projects (high-rise buildings, luxury villas, etc.) is a plus.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC design software, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards (Dubai Municipality, UAE Civil Defence, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
