The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, sustainable building projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop mechanical system designs for buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules using CAD software.
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance on mechanical engineering aspects.
Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing to ensure mechanical systems are efficient and meet project requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations for mechanical systems.
Ensure all mechanical designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to incorporate into designs.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits, inspections, and addressing any issues that arise.
Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and change orders related to mechanical systems.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, reports, and as-built drawings.
Ensure all design changes are documented and approved according to project procedures.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on mechanical designs and installations.
Participate in commissioning and testing of mechanical systems to ensure they perform as intended.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in building projects.
Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, building codes, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
