Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer position who will be responsible for designing of mechanical systems for complete buildings and infrastructure projects, such as Drainage, water Supply, ventilation, air conditioning and fire protection services. Ensures technical aspects of work are performed in accordance with applicable regulations or project plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience in designing a complete building HVAC system including Chillers, AHUs, and FCUs, Packaged units, DX systems, VRF systems for residential, commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. Experience in designing a complete Plumbing and Drainage Systems for Residential, Commercial buildings & infrastructure projects. Experience in designing a complete Fire Fighting Systems for Residential, Commercial buildings & infrastructure projects. Knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, SBC, IPC, NFPA & UAE Fire Codes. Preparation of necessary design calculations for HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems. Preparation of BOQ for all mechanical systems, Sending RFQ & follow-up with procurement team for the materials delivery. Lead the MEP design for company development projects. Demonstrated Leadership in Designing, Overseeing Site Installations, Testing and commissioning process. Detail-oriented with focus on Quality assurance and compliance. Strong team player who learns and adapts quickly in a global team environment Reviewing and getting approval of Technical submittals, Shop Drawings & calculations from client. Candidate must be raised RFQ for all mechanical related materials as per the project requirements. Coordinate with procurement team and make sure all mechanical related materials specifications are m Participating in technical meetings with Design, Supervision consultants and clients. Providing a technical assistance for the Site Team. Candidate should be acting as a point of contact for all third parties to achieve the work progress. Preparing relevant documents to conduct inspection activities and raise RFI to Consultant. Assist the Commissioning team in Pre-Commissioning stages of all HVAC Equipment's. Assist the Commissioning Team on Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) stages of the Air and Chilled water Piping. Preparation of Final test reports, As-built drawings, Operation & Maintenance manual and handing over the project to client. Drew detailed plans for achieving each milestone of the project, prepared status reports for effective communication to client and ensured that each stage of the project progressed within schedule. Preparation of Project Design basis, Specifications, BOQ and Technical review of contractor, Vendor & supplier bidding.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, especially in the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software; knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems; familiarity with industry codes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating system performance and troubleshooting issues. Ability to manage time, resources, and budgets effectively; experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Ability to ensure precision and accuracy in designs, calculations, and installation procedures.
