Position Summary:

Our esteemed client is a leading mechanical Construction firm based in Qatar, specializing in Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, and Utilities Industries solutions for the Oil & Gas Sectors. We are on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our oil and gas team. The ideal candidate shall have at least 10 years of relevant experience with design, development, and management of mechanical systems and components for EPC and EPIC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and prototype mechanical systems for EPC and EPIC projects, focusing on detailed and effective solutions.

Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and adjust plans to meet deadlines and budget requirements.

Supervise the installation of mechanical systems and components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

Oversee the commissioning process, including testing, troubleshooting, and final adjustments for optimal performance.

Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including during installation, operation, and maintenance.

Offer support, resolve technical problems, and develop solutions for mechanical systems and components.

Manage the setup, commissioning, and testing processes for mechanical systems and components.

Formulate technical requirements, negotiate with vendors, and manage supplier relationships for project materials and equipment.

Develop procurement specifications, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier performance and relationships.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, report on progress, and ensure all activities comply with industry regulations.

Identify areas for improvement in engineering processes and stay informed on industry advancements

Requirements

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are preferred.

10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on EPC and EPIC projects.

Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to EPC and EPIC projects.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
