BE / BTECH/Diploma - Mechanical

Mandatory: CSWIP 3.1 /NDT ASNT Level II; Bgas Grade II / NACE Level II

Job Responsibilities

Incoming material inspection such as Raw materials, pre-fabricated materials and welding consumables and review of MTC. Check if the material and proper colour coding is used is as per project specification/isometric drawings for all materials to be fabricated. Monitor all aspects of Quality Control relative to welding during the construction in order to ensure adherence to the company's' technical requirements and applicable codes. Checking Verify visual & dimensions of Equipment's/Structural items /Pipe spools or lines etc. Verification welder's certifications, material certification and traceability for all materials and consumables being used in construction. Perform Dimensional check and correct method of cutting/bevelling, edge preparation, fit up and alignment as per standards prior to welding. Monitor weld procedures (WPS, PQR) and welder qualification testing. Monitor welding consumable baking and welder performance continuity record. Monitor the weld preparation and welding process. Witness NDT (UT, PT, RT & MT) activities as per the standards. Performed NDT co-ordination, Reviewing RT films and reports. Monitor NDE and ongoing compilation of weld records. Confirmed testing parameters are duly recorded and that testing equipment is calibrated. Reviewed and released test packs for hydrostatic test, reinstatement etc. Witness hydrostatic test, pneumatic test for vessels/piping spools or lines Post-weld heat treatment: Verification, when required that post weld heat treatment has been conducted in accordance with specification requirements. Post-weld visual inspection: Visual inspection and dimensional check of completed weld ment against specification requirements and drawings. NDT reports: The study and cognizance of NDT results on any welding work for which the welding inspector is responsible. Where the duties of the welding inspector include using NDT methods such as liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, radiography or ultrasonic inspection then it is suggested that he/she obtains certification in accordance with the related approval schemes. Reports: Evaluation of and preparation of inspection reports for the employer or the client. Records: Maintenance of records of inspections carried out Responsible for stage wise painting / coating inspection. Undertake QC painting / coating activities in the work place for daily basis. Monitor weather condition for surface preparation and painting / coating application. Check and monitor all painting / coating related works and ensure all final products meet in accordance with company procedure, client requirement and international codes. Final Inspection and acceptance after verifying the specification requirement such as Visual inspection, DFT readings & Adhesion Tests. Hot dip galvanizing coating inspection Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensured non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed. Coordinated with pre-commissioning and commissioning teams. Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work. Issue Inspection Release after ensuring compliance to P.O. and specifications and codes. Witnessing packing inspection and review of packing list as per the project requirements.

BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
