As a Mechanical Engineer , you will play a crucial role in our innovative 3D printing business. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in reverse engineering to create accurate and detailed 3D models of physical objects for reproduction using our state-of-the-art 3D printing technology.
Key Responsibilities:
1-Reverse Engineering: You will employ your in-depth knowledge of reverse engineering techniques to analyze and understand existing physical objects and components. By using advanced scanning technologies and software, you will capture detailed measurements and dimensions of objects to create precise 3D models.
2-3D Modeling: Using industry-standard computer-aided design (CAD) software, you will transform the data collected through reverse engineering into high-quality 3D models. These models will serve as the foundation for the 3D printing process, ensuring accurate reproduction of the original object.
3-Prototyping and Testing: you will participate in the design and development of prototypes based on the 3D models you create. You will work closely with product designers, engineers, and technicians to optimize the prototypes for functionality, performance, and manufacturability.
4-Quality Control: You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of the 3D printed objects by conducting thorough quality control checks. This includes evaluating the printed objects against the original 3D models, conducting dimensional inspections, and identifying any deviations or imperfections.
5-Process Improvement: Continuously seeking opportunities for process optimization, you will contribute to the improvement of reverse engineering methodologies, 3D modeling techniques, and 3D printing processes. Your input will be invaluable in enhancing overall productivity and efficiency within the organization.
6- Will be responsible for overseeing the utilization and routine maintenance of 3D printers. The role involves operating the printer to produce parts according to design specifications, ensuring the printer's optimal performance, and troubleshooting any mechanical issues. Additionally, the engineer will implement a maintenance schedule to ensure consistent performance and longevity of the equipment.
7- The ability of design the objects based on printable settings and now the difference between SLA and FDM in terms of the material used and methods of print.
8- Understand the structure of the 3d printed parts and the ability to find out the weakness point of the design before starting printing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in reverse engineering, 3D modeling, and 3D printing technologies.
Proficiency in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data collection and modeling.
More than 3 years in 3D printing industry.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
