In this role you will get to perform conventional and moderately complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline.What You\'ll Be Doing:
Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned
project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope. * Assists in determining the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project buy outs, monitoring progress to maintain thoseprocurements. Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate the bid process. * Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project with other Project Engineers. Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups.
Assists the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study. Assists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.
Ensures client criteria and scope are met by the engineering discipline. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.
Prepares technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.
Obtains, analyses, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.
Plans, organizes, and ensures adequate staffing, execution, and monitoring of all field engineering activities and related support operations.
Provides guidance regarding scope of work, schedules, procedures, field construction problems, and other technical information. Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
Establishes, monitors, and maintains construction engineering quality control in the field.
Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with project design engineering, client representatives, and contractors.
Maintains project control documentation, design drawings and specifications, back-charge documents, change orders, etc.
Monitors contractor performance pertaining to schedule and conformance to plans and specifications.
Makes decisions regarding long-range planning, scheduling, budgeting, work priorities, and personnel.
Provide advice on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters to management.
Frequently interfaces with upper-level management and client personnel.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from well reputed university and typical related field engineering experience, with a general engineering background is required. Professional registration in a reputed engineering entity is mandatory.
Minimum 12 years experience in construction and supervision of projects HVAC, Water supply, drainage, stormwater design and execution processes
Experience in dealing with emergency works and ability to deal with the Public and coordinate with various infrastructure Authorities related to the Projects.
Exceptional articulate communication skills both verbal and written.
Experience advising client of best systems, materials, products and sustainability for MEP systems.
Remarkable skills of using computer aided engineering software not limited to the following;
AutoCAD.
BIM, if applicable.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
