Job Summary:

The Mechanical & Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical devices and equipment across new and existing project sites. This role demands a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong dedication to maintaining safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Testing:

Execute the installation and testing of devices and equipment at new project sites to ensure they meet operational standards.

Equipment Handling:

Assist in the moving, installation, and repositioning of fire and safety equipment at both existing and new project sites.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Respond to breakdowns, identify faults, and resolve issues swiftly to minimize production downtime in accordance with supervisor instructions.

Safety Monitoring:

Detect and report any activities that could potentially cause harm or damage at the project site, ensuring a safe working environment.

Maintenance Support:

Support the implementation and execution of corrective maintenance, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and preventive planned maintenance (PPM).

Inspection Duties:

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of devices and equipment across various sites and projects managed by the team.

Coordination and Communication:

Serve as the point of contact (PIC) coordinator between the team and the station master, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Reporting:

Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive reports and documents related to inspections, surveys, incident reports, project status updates, and job completions.

Client Interaction:

Address onsite client queries and participate in client meetings to resolve concerns and provide updates.

Project Supervision:

Oversee work schedules and project progress, ensuring all personnel adhere to client requirements and health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Demonstrated experience in the installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical or electrical equipment.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed reports and documentation.

Familiarity with HSE protocols and client requirement adherence.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the fire and safety equipment industry.

Certification in relevant safety courses or protocols.
