Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Fire Protection Company in Abu Dhabi. This position requires candidates who are currently based in Abu Dhabi and available for a face-to-face interview.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical)

Experience working in a Fire Protection Company is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing fire alarm systems, including tasks such as repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and addressing impairments for both projects and regular maintenance activities.

Service and test both addressable and conventional automatic and manual initiating devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, flame detectors, air aspiration systems, linear heat detection systems, beam detectors, manual call points, water flow switches, etc.

Service and test both addressable and conventional input, output, and control relay modules.

Always adhere to general and technical safety requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of oneself and others in the workplace.

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or engineer to fulfill job responsibilities.

Read, interpret, and describe single-line diagrams and cause-and-effect matrices.

Properly set up and use test equipment and accurately interpret test results.

Operate and calibrate smoke detector testing tools and calibration tools

Handle testing tools for heat detectors, flame detectors, beam detectors, and troubleshoot using map fault troubleshooting tools

Correctly utilize a digital multimeter for measuring current, voltage, and ampere.

Possess knowledge of NFPA, UAEFC, DCD codes, standards, and regulations and understand their use and interpretation.

Requirements

FEMALE CANDIDATES PREFERRED
A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in the relevant field is required.

Ability to Design in AutoCAD & Estimation in firefighting and fire alarm system.

Proficient in performing infra-red scanning (thermography) for inspection purposes.

Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate, train, and supervise contractors across multiple locations simultaneously.

Familiarity with industrial fire alarm systems.
