The Role

About the Role We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing mechanical design drawings and technical documentation in accordance with project specifications and CAD standards. This role requires proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, LPG, and fire fighting system design, as well as the ability to produce precise and coordinated layouts. The Mechanical Draftsman will support the design team in developing schematic riser diagrams, mechanical plant room layouts, and contribute to maintaining and enhancing the company's standard drawing library. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate drawing submissions. Key Responsibilities o Prepare mechanical design drawings in compliance with CAD standards and project requirements. o Develop and maintain standard mechanical details and drawing library. o Design layouts for ductwork and piping networks including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, LPG, and fire fighting systems. o Produce schematic riser diagrams and mechanical plant room layouts. o Translate design team inputs and specifications into detailed technical drawings. o Ensure compliance with authority submission standards (DCD, DM, DDA, DEWA).



Requirements

Requirements o Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. o Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy or construction projects in the GCC region. o Proficient in AutoCAD (latest version); experience with BIM is an advantage. o Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and building services coordination. o Familiarity with authority submission protocols and technical documentation standards. o Good communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
