Job Description

General Duties:

Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fire protection systems, including pump skids, suppression systems (HFC, FK), preaction, spray, and foam systems.

Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards (e.g., NFPA, UL, FM), and customer requirements.

Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and Engineering HOD.

Perform flow calculations for FK and HFC suppression systems to ensure accurate system design.

Conduct hydraulic calculations to support fire pump selection and system performance.

Document and present calculation results as required.

Work closely with engineers and sales teams to gather necessary information and ensure drawings align with project goals.

Coordinate with manufacturers to incorporate their technical specifications into the system designs.

Maintain clear communication with team members to address design challenges and revisions.

Maintain organized records of all drawings, calculations, and revisions for future reference.

Ensure all drawings and calculations adhere to industry standards such as NFPA, UL, and FM.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in drafting for fire protection systems or related fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software (e.g., Revit or SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with fire protection system components and designs, including suppression systems and pump skids.
• Strong knowledge of flow and hydraulic calculation methods for fire protection systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering documents.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
