Job descriptionJob Title: Mechanical Commissioning TechnicianLocation: Dubai, UAEBusiness/Department: Onshore OperationsReporting To: Commissioning SupervisorJob Purpose:We are seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join our Onshore Operations team. The Mechanical Commissioning Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper installation, functionality, and performance of mechanical equipment in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. This role will contribute to the smooth, safe, and timely commissioning process, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational readiness.Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities):
Conduct mechanical completion line walks of mechanical and process systems, compiling punch lists in accordance with project specifications.
Perform line walks and apply process isolations as instructed.
Understand requirements for vessel inspections, alignments, pressure safety valves, flushing, and inspections.
Assist discipline engineers in compiling Livening Up Notices (LUN) to enable sub-system/system energization.
Inspect mechanical and process equipment according to project specifications and complete associated Inspection Test Report paperwork.
Participate in Tri Party Sub System/System Mechanical Completion walk-downs and categorize punch list items.
Complete System Handover Management Process commissioning check sheets.
Assemble mechanical and process documents in accordance with project procedures.
Maintain commitment to project safety.
Complete assigned work scope within defined project schedule, ensuring engineering design standards are met and equipment operability is demonstrated satisfactorily.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Job Related Competencies:Educational Qualifications: Minimum requirement of Engineering Diploma in Mechanical.Experience Profile:
Proven track record of mechanical experience, with specific time in commissioning on Mechanical Systems, demonstrating understanding of Commissioning processes.
Experience in commissioning of Mechanical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems, and Rotating Equipment systems.
Familiarity with Control of Work/Permit To Work (PTW) processes during execution.
Experience in commissioning utility and process systems.
Familiarity with System Handover Management Process commissioning check sheet completion.
Competencies/Skills/Others:
Ability to analyze project-related information and effectively communicate project status and major issues.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, as well as contract terms and conditions.
Strong communication, intermediate computer, and leadership skills.
Proactive communicator who can leverage organizational skills to provide effective solutions to client issues.
Competence with Microsoft Office.
