We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical BIM Modeler to join our team. As a Mechanical BIM Modeler, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and detailed Building Information Modeling (BIM) models for mechanical systems in various construction projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical designs are integrated seamlessly into the overall building design. Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed BIM models for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements, design criteria, and specifications.
- Interpret 2D drawings, specifications, and other project documents to create 3D BIM models using Revit or other BIM software.
- Ensure that BIM models accurately represent the design intent and comply with industry standards and codes.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and coordination issues.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and assist in clash detection and resolution.
- Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimation.
- Maintain organized file structures and adhere to company BIM standards and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software, and industry trends.
- Provide guidance and support to junior BIM staff as needed.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience as a BIM Modeler with a focus on mechanical systems in construction projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and other related tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) are desirable.
