Mechanic Heavy Equipment
Job Description
JOB PROFILE/MISSION . Maintain and repair vehicles and troubleshooting aiming to maximize reliability and functionality . Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately . Complete preventive maintenance such as oil charges, tire rotation, wheel balancing, replacing filters . Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluid, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity . Repair or replace broken or mal-functional parts and fix issues (e.g. leak) by listening to operators' complaints . Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems . Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting, breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs . Keep logs on work and issues . Maintain equipment and tools in good conditions . Drive automobile or service trucks to industrial sites to provide services or respond to emergency calls . Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
