Key Responsibilities:
• Vehicle Operation:
• Drive vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport goods, passengers, or materials to designated locations on time.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, both inside and outside.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips (check oil, tires, brakes, lights, etc.).
• Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with the vehicle.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
• Repair or replace worn-out or broken parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, etc.
• Ensure all repairs are conducted according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain a log of vehicle maintenance and repair activities.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures while driving and maintaining the vehicle.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical issues immediately to the relevant authorities or management.
• Ensure that all safety equipment in the vehicle (e.g., airbags, seat belts) is in good condition.
• Record-Keeping and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and repairs.
• Report on the condition of the vehicle and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
• Keep track of vehicle registration, insurance, and other legal documentation.
• Customer Service:
• When required, interact with customers or clients in a professional manner, especially if the job involves delivering or transporting goods.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods, if applicable.
• Tools and Equipment Handling:
• Use various diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues in the vehicle.
