Manage the Food Safety Program
Work with local authorities to maintain the license and stay up to date on all regulation changes.
Responsible for the execution of daily production including plant cleanliness and sanitation, equipment operations and maintenance/repair, and plant maintenance and repair
Schedule customers with processing and fabrication activities.
Supervise the hiring and training of meat processing employees
Assist with the teaching of laboratory courses in slaughter, fabrication, slaughter, and meat evaluation
Manage the formulation and production of all meat products
Administer financial operations including budgeting, purchases, and income
Performs other reasonable or related duties as directed.
Position Specifications
Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree preferred 3 years working in the meat processing industry is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Large animal agriculture experience

Ability to quickly identify issues and constructively work to develop effective solutions.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to teach and assess learning in meat processing.
Ability to apply financial skills in an instructional setting such as solving financial problems, applying relevant math, analyzing financial statements.
Ability to apply basic manual/maintenance skills such as assembling/disassembling, following safety procedures and rules, lifting heavy equipment, loading and unloading, maintaining equipment, monitoring operations, cutting, operating equipment, working outdoors or indoors.
