Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Project Management: Lead equipment and tooling projects, ensuring complete solutions delivery. Develop and track development schedules with clear milestones. Standard Development: Create and implement innovative assembly and process concepts. Ensure all new designs align with TE standards, quality, and EHS policies. Collaboration and Improvement: Work with Product and Process Engineering to enhance manufacturability and develop new concepts. Apply lessons learned to new equipment and tooling designs. Strive for continuous process improvement focusing on customer satisfaction. Team Management: Manage team members, ensuring their training and development. Ensure effective communication and information sharing within the team. Manage Resources capacity planning in efficient & optimum way. Enhances team's skills to achieve high performances and deliver a best-in-class operational Mfg. concepts. Technical Expertise: Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet quality and production standards. Interface between engineering, manufacturing/Ops & suppliers. Support R&D teams in producing manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypes. Specify complex specifications, lead Mechanical design & automation platforms, performs process Design & synoptic, with skills on Process Thinking, DFM, Manufacturing Concepts, & up to date on Technological Watch, Responsible for the various technical choices made within TE in the field of mechanical design & automation, Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Lead supplier and subcontractor development for optimal sourcing. Build relationships with external suppliers and manufacturers. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and status of automation equipment or processes. Adhere to all specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements. Technical Skills: Proficient in Creo Parametric, PDM-Link, and other relevant software. Strong knowledge in machine development, pneumatic and mechanical design systems, and automation. Experience with transfer systems, testing procedures, and analysis. Ability to prepare quotations, concept plans, and cost estimations. Additional Expertise: Good technical and logical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills for presenting designs and negotiating. Knowledge of assembly processes, including cable assembly, cutting, stripping, potting, cleaning, vision, welding, stamping, and plating. Strong background in technical concepts and in machines / tools /production development.

What your background should look like:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering field Strong CAD knowledge, ideally ProE/Creo. 5+ years of experience in various Engineering or Process Development assignments. Automotive industry preferred. At least 3 years of practice in the field at technical and supervision level. Ideally, professional experience in the design and construction of high-speed assembly systems/Machine. Six Sigma certification is an advantage. Mechanical & Electrotechnics Engineering Analytical thinking & Lean Manufacturing Project Management Autonomous, independent & Goal oriented. Strong background in technical concepts and in machines / tools /production development. MS Office knowledge is Mandatory.
