It is responsible for providing support to engagement teams to maintain independence and compliance requirements as per the regulatory rules.Reporting to the ME Independence leadership, the manager is primarily responsible for assessing independence consultations and in particular, Joint Business Relationships, vendor relationships and other arrangements that PwC might have with other organizations and third party subject matter experts.The new hire will be assisting the regional independence team in the following areas:Business relationship reviews - Manage a team of consultants who conduct assessments to facilitate Joint Business Relationships and vendor arrangement clearances - Monitor Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements for the Business Relationship assessment team and report to the Independence leadership Manage a team of Business relationship experts, monitor SLAs/ urgent deadlines, unblock bottlenecks and make sure that the team is functioning efficiently to meet the business needs.- Joint Business Relationship monitoring and reassessment and vendor relationship reviews - Liaising with wider teams regionally and globally to gather information and understanding of the proposed business relationships and independence rulesOther activities - Consultation system monitoring and assignment of queries among team members - Performing data reconciliations for Independence monitoring purposes - Presenting in internal training sessions and contributing to setting the agenda for the calls/meetings - Actively contribute to the JBR CoE initiatives and represent the ME Independence - Business Relationship teamLearning and Growth - Liaise with the Global Independence network to understand Global systems improvement initiatives.- Adhere to policies and procedures - Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the business, building cross-functional relationships as neededEducation A professional or academic qualification (degree level or equivalent), or extensive relevant and practical experience.Language Fluency in English required, proficiency in Arabic is advantageousOverall Experience Relevant experience (preferably 2 years) in audit or consulting practiceSpecific Experience - Client facing experience preferably in the Professional Services industry would be an advantage - Experience in a top tier Big 4 + 2 firm is advantageous - An internal transfer from within the firm can be consideredKnowledge and Skills -
