SynopsisThe MCC Duty Engineer coordinates the daily operations and ADHOC troubleshooting to return the aircraft to service safely and efficiently. He/she provides reports on the daily operation, delays, fleet status including IFE/Connectivity, Delay/Event reports.Accountabilities
Performs the overall coordination of technical issues/problems received by phone call or radio call. Guides and supports the line maintenance staff in the daily operation to assure that the most efficient course of action is taken to provide a safe and serviceable fleet on time. Monitors VHF calls and ensure timely and quality communication with crews.
Review appropriate MEL reference and issue MEL control number to line engineers.
Performs ADHOC troubleshooting support to Line engineers and flight crews.
Monitors OEM health monitoring tools to pro-actively identify potential system failures and will generate AMOS Work Orders to carry out troubleshooting.
Where no contracted maintenance provider is available, contact possible providers and apply for one off approvals for the aircraft certification. Keep and maintain the One off Approval file and ensure that all documents for every approval are available and up to date.
Ensures that all work performed is completed in accordance with Etihad's processes, procedures and is done in a safe manner to the highest possible standards.
Education & Experience
Education: High School diploma is required, university or Technical degree with background on Aircraft Maintenance or similar Engineering field is preferred. Qualifications required are ICAO TYPE II License or equivalent and holding at least 2 Etihad aircraft type courses.
Experience: At least 5 years of aircraft certifying experience with at least 2 years working within a maintenance control environment using aircraft health monitoring tools. Must possess excellent communication and computer skills.
