We are looking for Corrosion Engineers with 10 years of experience to be based in Abu Dhabi.Main Purpose of Role:
Technical xe2x80x93 carry out assigned asset integrity consultancy work, such as researching problems, engineering calculations, preparation of reports etc., with minimal supervision. Provide technical support to graduate engineer as required
Project execution xe2x80x93 execute scope requirements within projects as directed by Project Manager and in accordance with all relevant company procedures.
Responsibilities:
Auditing the existing corrosion monitoring systems for Oil, Gas and Water streams and reporting their functionality and their locations representing actual corrosion rates.
Review site monitoring reports and issue reports for required actions for non- conforming locations.
Optimization and streamlining corrosion monitoring for different processes and cutting out unnecessary or ineffective practices to deliver efficiency and cost savings.
Corrosion management performance review and preparation of corrosion management reports
Proposing and reporting up-to-date, new, and representative more corrosion monitoring techniques
Auditing water injection system performance and report corrective actions on corrosion and quality of water across the system
Ensure that corrosion monitoring can fit into the general basis of design and safe operations plans.
Provide and report assurance that assets and processes will be in the best possible position for online and intrusive corrosion monitoring.
New projects corrosion monitoring review and recommendations
Review of existing and future corrosion monitoring facilities
Gathering and reporting Corrosion Control data to support Corrosion management KPI Reporting for all ADNOC-OFFSHORE Sites.
Review periodic site corrosion monitoring reports and report required actions for non-conforming locations.
Keeping records of all corrosion monitoring locations and methods on relevant technical drawings including all details about the system, location, isometric, monitoring method and orientation.
Ensure the application of scheduled maintenance programs, the service of corrosion monitoring stations and installed equipment, and record data in the computer database.
Root cause analysis (RCA) studies and detailed investigation of failures of corrosion control and monitoring systems, as well as corrosion related damage and failures of process equipment and systems
Use of corrosion modelling software Electronic Corrosion Engineer (ECE-5) or equivalent for corrosion rate calculation.
Review Chemical Treatment existing requirements and advise any required changes.
Review Mechanical cleaning pigging requirements, conduct detailed cleaning pigging studies and make recommendations on improving the integrity of the pipelines, improve the results of chemical programs to increase the lifetime of the pipeline taking into consideration various operating current and future scenarios.
Preservation and Mothballing requirements
Root cause analysis (RCA) assessment and investigation of corrosion damage and failures
Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System must be implemented within the area of operation as per the company approved procedures and ISO Standards.
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
Knowledge of materials behaviors and corrosion analysis
Experience in materials selection for Oil and Gas assets
Use of industry recognized software for corrosion rate analysis
High level of experience in pipeline integrity assessments based on industry standards (DNVGL-RP-F101, ASME B31G, ISO 12747)
Familiar with reviewing inspection data (DCVG, CIPs ILI)
Track record of conducting pipeline FFS and life extension studies
Familiar with typical engineering deliverables of materials and corrosion for greenfield development studies (conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering)
Knowledge of CP systems performance analysis and design
Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (API 579, ASME B31G etc.)
High level of computer literacy with MS Office (specifically Word & Excel) and experience of other specific analysis software packages (Corrdata or equivalent, MathCAD, Abaqus, Caesar, Autopipe etc.).
Good communication skills in English, verbal and written.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years discipline engineering experience in the Oil and Gas
Bachelors degree qualification in Materials Science or similar. Masters degree is an advantage
NACE accreditation is required
Professional membership with an engineering institute (NACE or MICorr)
