Role: Technical & Materials Engineer (Steel Structures) Key Responsibilities:

Develop technical proposals and solutions based on client requirements.
Prepare and manage pre-qualification and material submittals.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality technical document preparation.
Update and maintain licenses, certificates, datasheets, and project approvals.
Renew authorities certifications and vendor lists as required.
Provide telephone technical support to clients requiring immediate attention.

Major Functions:

Document control including preparing prequalification submittals and material submittals.
Organize and tag project samples, following up with suppliers as needed.
Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans and timelines.
Review project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Develop and review method statements for construction activities.
Analyze material submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Prepare compliance statements and documentation for regulatory approvals.
Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress and quality.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and address technical issues on-site.
Manage and respond to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) issued from project sites.
Investigate root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical drawings and reports.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and consultants.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to manage project materials.
Develop technical and commercial submittals, tender documents, and proposals.
Prepare technical standards and specifications for steel fabrication projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil or Mechanical).
Previous experience in steel structure design and materials management.
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
Proficiency in document control and technical document preparation.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of local and international standards for steel fabrication projects is a plus.
Experience with authorities certifications and vendor management is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,500.00 per month Application Question(s):
