AECOM is seeking a Material Engineer responsible for ensuring that all materials used in the project are compliant with the project specifications and approved by all relevant authorities as bound necessary.Job Duties

• Review and Approval of the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
• Preparation of Material Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s Daily Diary.
• General oversight of the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s daily activities including works assignments, on-site performance and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s operations.
• Attend factory visits, suppliers plant inspection as required
• Follow up testing and approvals from the relevant authorities
• Review of Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s testing requests and subsequent completed reports.
• Review and Approval of the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s Submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
• Monitoring the performance of the material delivery and accuracy of materials used at site
• Coordination with Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.
• Monitoring conformance with the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s schedule.
• Continuous Field Inspections of the work in the progress and consultation with both the Resident Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s and Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s supervisory staff.
• Preparation of written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.

QualificationsQualification

• Relevant BSc Degree from a recognized University
• Must be a holder of Dubai Central Laboratory approval

Experience

• Work experience of not less than 10 years in construction and/or supervision
• Must also have a full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirate of Dubai.
