:Material EngineerAbu Dhabi, Al Dhafra Region, UAEParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to involve in monitoring, inspection, coordination, witnessing, documentation of all material of the project to ensure that the project is constructed as per Contract requirements and specificationsWhat You\'ll Be Doing:Review the Contractor\'s material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications.Serves as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job siteConducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.Coordinates work of subconsultants for material testingMaintains office files related to the project, material inspections and writes daily diaries.Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contractVerifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the workRecognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and reports to supervisor with proposed solutionCollects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.May provide technical guidance to lower-levelParticipates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reportsParticipates in the development of quality control reports and proceduresCapability to perform math calculation in order to prepare engineering calculations, graphs and chartsObserve, check and record works execution is in accordance with approved methodsCheck material delivered are as approved and properly storedWhat Required Skills You\'ll Bring:\'University BSc Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years engineering experience and, depending on the assignment, a minimum of 5 years\' experience in the specific infrastructure and landscape works.Experience in the construction of infrastructure, streetlighting and road projects at domestic and/or foreign locations.Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to the area of assignmentKnowledge of English grammar and composition, the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions, prepare written messages and simple charts and graphsRegistered as practicing engineers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or should have an equivalency certificate.What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:Ability to comply with multitude of requirements as applicable to the project based on client and industry standardsMust be able to recognize hazardous work conditions and take action if necessaryAbility to use good judgment and work with others is requiredMinimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
