Master Cutter / Upholsterer Furniture Experience
Job Description
As a Master Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting fabrics and materials with precision to ensure the highest quality in our furniture products. You will work closely with designers, upholsterers, and production staff to achieve perfect cuts that match our specifications and design intentions. Key Responsibilities: Measure and cut fabrics and materials according to patterns and specifications. Ensure precise cutting to minimize waste and maintain quality. Collaborate with designers and production team to understand project requirements. Maintain cutting tools and equipment in good working condition. Supervise and train junior cutters and assistants. Troubleshoot and resolve any cutting-related issues. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications: Proven experience as a Master Cutter in a furniture manufacturing setting. Excellent understanding of fabrics, materials, and cutting techniques. Ability to read and interpret patterns and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and precision. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills.
