Job Description

The Mason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, concrete, and other materials. This includes building walls, foundations, and other masonry structures, ensuring the quality and safety of the work, and adhering to all construction specifications and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Masonry Work:

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to project specifications. Mix and apply mortar or other bonding agents to hold materials together. Build walls, columns, arches, and other structures using brick, stone, or concrete. Construct and repair chimneys, fireplaces, and other stone-based structures. Install prefabricated stone, concrete, or brick products such as countertops and flooring.

Reading Plans & Specifications:

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to understand construction requirements. Measure and cut materials to the correct size using tools like saws, hammers, or chisels. Ensure that the dimensions and designs are accurately followed to meet building codes and safety standards.

Surface Preparation & Finishing:

Prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning and leveling the foundation. Smooth and finish surfaces to ensure they meet project aesthetics and specifications. Install decorative stones, tiles, or bricks to create the desired finish.

Maintenance & Repair:

Repair and restore old or damaged masonry structures by replacing worn or broken bricks, stones, or blocks. Fill gaps or cracks with appropriate materials, ensuring the strength and stability of the structure. Perform ongoing maintenance to ensure masonry works are in good condition.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
