Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Mason

to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, including bricklaying, block laying, stonework, and concrete work. The Mason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures using various materials while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

1. Masonry Construction:

Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stones to construct or repair walls, wall plaster, partitions, arches, and other structures. Mix and apply mortar, grout, and other binding materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements. Cut and shape bricks, stones, and other materials to fit specific design requirements.

2. Repair and Restoration:

Repair and restore existing masonry structures, including chimneys, walls, and walkways. Replace damaged bricks, stones, or mortar as needed.

3. Site Preparation:

Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring materials and tools are readily available. Measure and mark construction areas to ensure accurate placement of materials.

4. Quality Control:

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications. Make adjustments or repairs as necessary to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.

5. Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
