Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Construction and Repair:
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other types of building materials to construct or repair walls, floors, arches, and other structures.
• Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Mixing and Application:
• Mix mortar, plaster, and grout according to standard formulas.
• Apply mortar to bricks, blocks, and stones, and set them in place with a trowel.
• Finishing:
• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs, using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Repair and maintain existing masonry structures, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and work details.
• Ensure all masonry work complies with local building codes and regulations.
• Safety and Maintenance:
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
