Job Title: Helper / Mason

Job Summary:

The Helper/Mason is responsible for assisting with construction site tasks, including preparing and laying materials, mixing concrete, and supporting skilled workers in completing construction projects. The role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:Mason Responsibilities

• Construction Tasks:
• Prepare and lay bricks, blocks, or stones to build structures such as walls, foundations, and pavements.
• Mix and apply mortar, cement, and other binding materials to set and secure building materials.
• Repair existing masonry structures by filling cracks, replacing damaged materials, and performing maintenance tasks.
• Blueprint Reading:
• Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to execute masonry work accurately.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications.

Helper Responsibilities

• Site Preparation:
• Assist in preparing the construction site by cleaning and clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing tools and materials.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Material Handling:
• Mix concrete, mortar, and other materials as directed by the mason or supervisor.
• Transport materials to work areas and ensure they are readily available.
• Support Tasks:
• Assist skilled workers, such as masons, carpenters, and electricians, with basic tasks.
• Handle minor repairs and adjustments under supervision.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow all site safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills and Competencies:

• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in challenging environments.
• Basic knowledge of masonry techniques and materials (for masons).
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
• Understanding of construction safety standards.
• Attention to detail and quality of work.

Education and Experience:

• Mason:
• Proven experience in masonry work or a similar role.
• Knowledge of construction tools and materials.
• Helper:
• No formal experience is required, but prior work in construction is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and assist in various tasks.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Requires prolonged periods of standing, bending, and heavy lifting.
• May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
