Make it your story.This position reports toMarketing&Sales Leader,SBSP,AE OC ClustrYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible to define and implement the marketing strategy in the assigned area (business area, division, and markets). Lead, develop, and coach the marketing team. Design and manage the marketing action plan to achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Electrification Business Area based in Dubai UAE. You will be mainly accountable for: Creating, planning, and implementing the marketing strategies for the assigned area in accord-ance with the business area/division marketing and sales strategy and budget including yearly cadence and product launches. Developing action plans to deliver the agreed marketing strategy within the budget. Defining the marketing targets for the assigned area and ensures their achievement. Anticipating changes in the market direction proactively and facilitates timely and appropriate remedial action. Identifying existing and new strategic segments and business opportunities through market analysis, efficiently using various tools (like Stratos, SFDC) to develop segment specific go-to-market, defining strategy/business plans for each opportunity, and coordinating with the relevant teams for the assigned area. Branding marketing, industry segment marketing, and the development of strategic and tactical marketing plans supporting the organization within the assigned area, key accounts supporting business growth. Developing and maintaining efficient marketing tools and implementing coordinated marketing analyses and activities ensuring the global markets are well-monitored. Defining quality metrics for marketing initiatives within the assigned area and reviewing and evaluating results upon completion of the activities. Identifying digital marketing campaigns (not awareness campaigns) and target audience. Partnering with communications on the digital marketing campaigns (including advertising and SEO), monitors KPIs and success factors. Qualifying any leads generated by comms and turns them over to sales. Customer communications covering the buying funnel from product & solutions awareness, con-sideration intending to purchase related to portfolio and value. Collaborating in all activities with Product Marketing, Channel Sales and country LSO teams. Managing Division specific local and regional customer events, road shows, trade shows, partner events in a solid collaboration with Communications team. Large industry relevant events, trade shows and conferences shall be managed in collaboration with Communications team (R&R Follows). Implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area. Ensuring adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope. Ensuring integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope. Collaborating with stakeholders to oversee the preparation of competitor analyses, including full profit and loss account, main financial data, company profile, and net sales analysis. Ensuring that their own area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Coaching, motivating, and developing direct and indirect reports within HR policies. Driving and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration.Qualifications for the role
Bachelors / masters degree in engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent. Specialization in Marketing could be added advantage.
8 to 10 years of commercial management experience in large, complex, fast-pace, matrixed, innovative industrial organizations, with direct management of marketing electrification portfolio aligned to Smart Power & Smart Buildings Solutions within UAE sub region.
Ability to create and communicate marketing messages and value propositions effectively to the sales and marketing force and customers.
Experience in dealing and understanding of the global industrial and commercial market, especially as it relates to the ecosystem of channel partners, direct sales, segments, solutions & digital selling, and the evolving e-commerce landscape.
Strong problem solving, learning agility and ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues. Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time. Results focused and able to work well under pressure and against tight deadline.
Analytical and strategic in consolidating data into valuable information for the business to act upon. Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies.
Good track record in designing and deploying marketing strategies contributing to solid business growth.
Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills and senior executive presence. Self-driven with networking, collaboration, and intercultural skills.
Excellent leadership and people development skills, relevant and successful change management experience.
Fluency in English (Read, Write, Speak) is must
